1. Access (The Front Door)

• MFA is Non-Negotiable: If you aren't using Multi-Factor Authentication for your email and banking, you are vulnerable.

• Unique Logins: Never let employees share passwords. If one person leaves, your entire system is compromised. 

2. Devices (The Walls)

• Auto-Updates: Old software is a playground for hackers. Ensure Windows/macOS updates happen automatically.

• The 5-Minute Rule: Set all screens to auto-lock after 5 minutes of inactivity.

3. Data (The Vault)

• The "3-2-1" Backup Rule: Keep 3 copies of data, on 2 different media, with 1 off-site (cloud).

• Test Your Backups: A backup you haven't tested is just a wish. Try restoring a file today.

4. Network (The Perimeter)

• Guest Wi-Fi: Keep client devices separate from your business data.

• Router Hygiene: Change that default password on the sticker under your router immediately.
